Goat to Great - OLOSP Program

In 2021, JCI Tripunithura planted the seed of a beautiful initiative—one that continues to grow stronger with each passing year.

We gifted a goat to a low-income household—not just as a donation, but as the start of a sustainable cycle. The only condition was that the first female offspring would be returned to us, to be passed on to another family in need.

This thoughtful idea was suggested by Dr. Civy Pulayath, and the initiative was brought to life under the leadership of JCI President that year, Jc. Tej Paul George.

In 2023, that first kid was gifted to a second household. Now, in 2025, the next generation is ready— April 12th 2025 , her female offspring handed over to a third family by president JC Sumesh Karalmanna.

What began as one small act has become a growing chain of empowerment and self-reliance. A living example of sustainability in action.
